Towcester Road

Towcester road has not changed too much in the last 30 years although the Clinton Arms and some other buildings have been demolished at the bottom end and a round about put in.

Just before the junction of Rothersthorpe road used to be a toll house collecting the Tolls for people entering Northampton

This is now the Post Office. Opposite was Daniels who made her own ice cream. They had a couple of cows for milk at the camp

On the houses opposite Towcester Rd Methodist and the garage, between Abbey Rd and Clinton Rd. the name plaque reads
Diamond Jubilee 1897
