Coming along Old main road from St Leonards road in the 50's was the following
Marshaling yards with trucks parked, opposite the school was a jitty with iron rails leading to the loco dept via an iron footbridge. Then was the old school house. Then crown foundry, Northampton Farmers then a row of 4 old cottages. then airflow streamlines. Railway bank.
Here is a shot showing Crown Foundry. Also the wall of the old Infants School, opposite the Far Cotton Junior. Does any one have a photo as we cannot find one any where
Another Picture from Towcester Road, with the Golden Teapot next to the Tivoli. The C reg on the car relates to 1963 so would have been taken a little after that
On the other side school, WMC, rose and crown with Dick Ford
